A little over 3 years ago, I embarked on a solo adventure to The City of Lights. I was in Paris for a 2-day workshop, but I was also there to do a bit of reflecting. In a couple short months, I would be graduating from college and then moving across the country to my new home in New York. It was a BIG time in my life. It was exciting AND scary all at the same time. I had some big, life-changing decisions to make.
On one of my last days in Paris, I packed a little picnic with a sandwich and treats from the boulangerie around the corner, and I spent the afternoon in front of the Eiffel Tower. With my pen and notebook in hand, I took the time to put my dreams down in ink.
Part of what I wrote that day included where I envisioned my business. I wrote about the type of clients I would love to work with. I wrote about the type of experience that I would love to bring to my clients. I wrote about what needed to happen to make my dreams come true. Part of achieving my goals included creating a space that (1) inspires me and (2) gives my clients that “Wow!” factor. It took a couple false starts, but one year ago, I fell in love with the space that is now Cheeky Boudoir’s home.
Cheeky Boudoir – The Premier Saratoga Boudoir Studio
Cheeky Boudoir is the first photography studio in Saratoga exclusively for boudoir photography. Because I didn’t want to deal with the unknowns of shooting in a client’s home or a boring hotel room, I wanted to build a refreshing space that oozes femininity. I’ve worked hard to outfit the studio with versatile pieces that will compliment any wardrobe choice you bring for your boudoir photo shoot. I have 1,300 sq ft of room to play, which gives me the ability to create variety in every session. Also, as a creative, I’m always dreaming up and/or creating a new set to keep my creative juices flowing. This keeps things fresh for all of my repeat clients (yes, boudoir can be addicting)!
When I went to meet Myla for the first time, I was nervous. But as soon as I walked through the doors of Cheeky Boudoir, I knew that I was in good hands. The studio is so pretty and instantly calming! I could easily picture myself sitting at the vanity or laying across the bed. I didn’t want to leave! I’ve since had my photoshoot and I couldn’t be happier with how it all came together. I can’t wait to do it again! Miss K
Starting in July, Monday afternoons will be designated as Open Studio time. From 3-6PM, potential clients (or anyone who wants to just hang out) are welcome to stop by the studio without an appointment to check out the studio, browse my sample albums, and learn more about Cheeky Boudoir photoshoots!
