The best part of my job in my New York boudoir studio is being able to connect with women from many different backgrounds. Every woman has a story to tell, and more often than not, when clients come into my studio, the stories come pouring out. Maybe it’s the atmosphere, maybe its because I’ve got such a friendly face, or maybe because there are just some things that they can’t tell anyone else. Whatever it is, I always enjoy listening to what has to be said.
New York Boudoir
On occasion, the connections made in the studio are extended to outside of the studio and clients turn into friends. Such was the case with Miss T. Having moved to NY in my mid-30s, I know first-hand how hard it is to make friends as an adult in a new place, so I’m always thankful when I get to make new friends.
Miss T booked her New York boudoir session with me late last year as a Christmas gift to her dear husband. She was a little nervous that she wasn’t young enough and felt like she had no business doing a boudoir shoot in the first place.
I had a mix of feelings, but mostly very nervous and feeling like I was too old at 50 to be considering doing something like this. I felt like my body had changed and it was too late to capture any sensuality or sexiness. At the same time it was something that was “out of the box” of what I would normally do and for once in my life I wanted to not be afraid to try something new or something that I was uncomfortable with. Coming out with that first outfit on I was shaking a little and feeling like I wouldn’t know how to pose etc. Miss T
Needless to say, Miss T quickly got the hang of it. I was there every step of the way, reassuring her that she looked absolutely fantastic.
Considering I don’t even like to be on the beach in a two piece in front of people, this was huge for me!! I left the photo shoot very proud of myself, and excited to see what the photos would look like. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to do another one someday! Miss T
If you are considering a photo shoot, don’t put it off or be afraid! It’s a wonderful experience and you won’t regret it. You will get in touch with your sensual side and feel so free. Pushing myself to do this photo session at 50 taught me that we woman no matter what we look like are beautiful and we should do something for ourselves that make us feel that way. This photo shoot was that for me! Miss T
