Part of my mission here at Cheeky Boudoir is to truly empower my clients… to remind them of their beauty and sexiness that lies in the midst of their everyday lives. My biggest hope is that my clients are able to carry over that rush they get from their photo shoot into the rest of their lives.
When I finally got enough courage to book my own photo shoot, I had 3 solid months of prep work. I ate healthier, made it to the gym more, planned my wardrobe… I felt great! I was finally going to give my husband the present he’s been waiting for for years (and give my own confidence a bit of a boost). The day my shoot came, I was terrified, but also very exhilarated at the same time. I thought, “I did it! I FINALLY DID IT!” And I walked a bit taller and held my head up a little higher afterwards. But as the months passed, I’ve struggled with getting that mojo back. Life went on and work had taken over again… leaving me to neglect taking care of myself.
I had heard about The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin from Christy at the beginning of the year. At the time, I thought it was a great idea. But the year had already begun, I hadn’t read the book, and by the time I finished the book, it’d be the end of the first month… excuses, I know. But now that it’s December, I’m making the commitment to take this project on!
I’ve only started reading the book, but I’m really liking the message. The author didn’t start the project because she was depressed or unhappy with her life. Far from it! She started the project to do things to help her be more appreciative and enjoy the life that she does have. This is what I want and why I want to do my own project… and why I invite YOU to do the same! Get your copy of The Happiness Project at your local library, bookstore, or here on Amazon.
Check back regularly for updates! Maybe you and I can keep ourselves accountable!
