A little over 3 years ago, I embarked on a solo adventure to The City of Lights. I was in Paris for a 2-day workshop, but I was also there to do a bit of reflecting. In a couple short months, I would be graduating from college and then moving across the country to my new home in New York. It was a BIG time in my life. It was exciting AND scary all at the same time. I had some big, life-changing decisions to make.
On one of my last days in Paris, I packed a little picnic with a sandwich and treats from the boulangerie around the corner, and I spent the afternoon in front of the Eiffel Tower. With my pen and notebook in hand, I took the time to put my dreams of having my very own boudoir photography studio down in ink.
It seems like just yesterday that I moved into my Beekman Street studio in Saratoga Springs. I remember how excited I was to have my very own space that I could do whatever I wanted to do in terms of design. In the past year, almost 150 women have come through my doors and have allowed me to photograph & empower them, and I am so thankful for the opportunity. To continue to serve my clients and ignite my passion for photography, it’s time for an upgrade. I am so excited to announce that I am moving to a bigger and brighter studio located in beautiful Ballston Spa! Situated right on Route 50 (Milton Ave.), this studio is PERFECT for boudoir photography and other photography projects that I want to pursue. It’s been a long time coming, but this weekend, I will be shooting my very first Saratoga clients! AND I’ll be shooting in my new studio space! These pictures (courtesy of my husband, who’s been doing a lot of grunt work since I’m all the way on the other side of the country) are obviously the BEFORE photos. I absolutely love that it’s a blank canvas that I can dress up however I choose. It may not look like much right now, but I’ve been dreaming and creating mock-ups of what I would like the space to look like. My husband even drove 2.5 hours to the nearest Ikea to get some essentials (like curtains and the mirror for my Accessory Nook)! Now that’s what I call supportive :). I’ll be in New York for a week, so after my boudoir sessions on Sunday, I plan on spending the rest of the week perusing the local antique shops for the perfect pieces for the studio. The holy grail: the PERFECT vanity. Make sure you check back for the new and improved Cheeky Boudoir Studio in Saratoga Springs, NY!
