Sometimes, it's good for the soul to step outside of your norm. Doing so will force you to look at a situation in a different way and maybe learn a thing or two.
As I mentioned in a previous post, this year, I’m going to start my own Happiness Project. For those of you who haven’t read the book by Gretchen Rubin, the basic gist is this: each month, choose an area in your life that you would like to devote more time to or improve upon. However, you don’t work on one aspect and just move on when the new month comes, you continue your work and add on the new month’s goals. The idea is that as you continue to improve the things that you wish to improve upon, you’ll find yourself in a happier place where you start to live in the moment and really appreciate your experiences. Before I get into what my mission for January is, I must first state my Commandments for this project: I have no preconceived notions that this project is going to be an easy one, but I really want to make a good effort.
