The best part of my job is meeting a great variety of women from all over the New York Capital Region in various stages of their lives. From women just gaining their independence, to women who are embarking on a shared life with their partner, to women who are finding themselves again after 50. The stories that are shared in my boudoir photography studio really build a connection between my clients and myself that help me bring out their personalities in their photographs.
Miss A had recently graduated from University, started her career, and was now taking a step into the adventure of marriage when she first contacted me about her bridal boudoir shoot. When we met for her pre-session consultation, we bonded over our love of dogs and talked about awesome it would be to open up a doggy daycare (my kinda girl!). She also let me know, as many of my clients tell me, that doing a boudoir shoot was completely out of character for her and that she didn’t even own any lingerie prior to her shoot. I gave her the best advice I could to prep for her session, and I also sent her to the helpful hands of Deborah at Torso Lingerie for her lingerie needs. The result was an absolutely gorgeous bridal boudoir shoot that her now-husband LOVES.
When asked what advice she would give to someone considering a boudoir shoot with Cheeky Boudoir, Miss A had this to say:
DO IT! it was the most fun experience ever and Myla was so fun to work with! You could absolutely find a boudoir photographer for less money, but this experience was worth EVERY penny. From beginning to end, you could tell Myla puts her heart and soul into her work. A good photographer is not something you can take the cheap way out. Good pictures cost money and this was absolutely worth it. Miss A
I had an amazing time working with you. I loved every minute of being pampered and feeling pretty. The pictures came out incredible and Chris absolutely LOVED them. He now considers himself “an owner of art.” Miss A
